The price of oil (Brent) is trading at just under 97 dollars per barrel.

Home automation company Plejd increased its turnover by 40 percent in the first quarter, while operating profit climbed 87 percent. The operating margin improved to 34.7 percent, compared to 25.9 percent in the same quarter last year.
Mining company Boliden is taking an impairment charge for the Garpenberg mine of 700 million SEK in its first-quarter results. This is due to damage caused by unusual seismic activity in the mine in March. Boliden reiterated its assessment that the production halt will have a negative impact on EBITDA of 400 million SEK for the quarter.
Industry peer Lundin Gold increased its gold production at the Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador in the first quarter. Gold production amounted to 119,742 ounces, compared to 117,313 ounces in the same quarter last year. In the fourth quarter, production was 199,483 ounces. Gold sales were lower at 115,308 ounces (117,641). The company stated it is well on track to achieve its 2026 production guidance of 475,000 to 525,000 ounces of gold.
Construction company Skanska has signed a contract to build a high-tech facility in the U.S. worth 1.3 billion SEK.
Industrial company Engcon's CEO Krister Blomgren is stepping down after 15 years. The board has appointed the company's founder, Stig Engström, as the new CEO.
