"The size and shape" of any future Stellantis investment in Europe will depend on the European Union's final decisions regarding automotive sector regulation, the carmaker's Europe chief said on Friday.
"The decisions made by the European Union will have a major impact on visibility, on what will become the dominant technologies that will be required," Emanuele Cappellano stated at the Brussels Motor Show, during his first press conference since taking office last October.
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa warned in December that the new package of measures for the automotive industry proposed by the European executive that same month poses a risk to carmakers' investments in Europe.
