Construction group Skanska has signed an agreement with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority for a bridge and rail project in the Boston area. The contract is valued at approximately 9.3 billion SEK and will be included in the second-quarter order intake.
The project involves replacing 1930s-era bascule bridges with new vertical lift bridges, alongside upgrades to tracks, signaling systems, and control facilities. Construction is scheduled to commence this May, with completion expected in the fall of 2032.
