The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index closed 0.26 percent lower at 22,748.99. Following the Stockholm Stock Exchange's closing, the Nasdaq Composite index increased by about 0.3 percentage points.

In the futures market today, the S&P 500 futures are up 0.22 percent, while the Nasdaq 100 futures are rising by 0.30 percent.
