The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index closed 0.89 percent lower at 26,853.98. After the Stockholm market close, the Nasdaq Composite index fell by about 0.2 percentage points.

In futures trading today, the S&P 500 future is down 0.34 percent, while the Nasdaq 100 future is declining 0.47 percent.
