The Stockholm Stock Exchange rose on Tuesday, bolstered by gains across international markets in both Europe and the US. Market sentiment was supported by hopes that a new round of peace talks between the US and Iran may be on the horizon. The decline in oil prices accelerated during the afternoon, with Brent crude falling by nearly 3 percent.

The US is considering a second round of negotiations with Iran after initial talks concluded without an agreement. No date has yet been set, a White House official told CNBC. Discussions could resume in Pakistan before a fragile two-week ceasefire expires.

At the close, the OMXS30 index was up 0.92 percent at 3,131.20. Shares worth approximately SEK 23.7 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

The best-performing major industrial sector was real estate, which gained 1.9 percent. At the other end of the spectrum, energy lagged behind, falling 3.3 percent.

Among the leading shares included in the OMXS30 index, Atlas Copco A rose 2.3 percent, while Nordea gained 2.2 percent. The weakest performers were Telia, down 0.7 percent, and Saab B, which also shed 0.7 percent.

From the earnings season, which is still in its early stages, Avarda Bank reported first-quarter results in line with expectations. Operating profit landed at SEK 245 million against an anticipated SEK 248 million. Revenue of SEK 827 million was also in line with consensus. The stock increased 0.7 percent.

IT company Carasent, a provider of electronic health record systems, reported increased revenue for the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year. Operating profit swung to a gain of SEK 1.6 million. The stock fell 5 percent.

Medical technology firm Bonesupport stated that the US CMS is proposing improved reimbursement for Cerament G in complex orthopedic infections within Medicare starting in 2027. The proposal also includes new, more specific codes for Cerament G and Cerament V. The stock rose by over 8 percent.

Pattern generator manufacturer Mycronic received an order for a customized SLX mask writer from a new customer, valued at USD 27-30 million, equivalent to SEK 248-275 million. The stock climbed 3.8 percent.

E-commerce company Cheffelo issued a trading update for the first quarter. Net sales rose by 11 percent to SEK 375 million. The number of active customers increased by 7 percent to 92,900. The stock dropped 3.5 percent.

Peru has reportedly selected the American F-16 from Lockheed Martin over Saab's Gripen in its procurement of 24 fighter jets, according to reports from defensa.com. No official announcement has yet been made. The stock lost 0.7 percent.

The board of platform company Upsales is proposing a distribution of shares in its subsidiary AI Revenue Assistant Software, Aira, to shareholders to facilitate a planned separate listing. Simultaneously, Upsales expects a significant improvement in profitability during the current year, with an EBITDA margin exceeding 35 percent on an annual basis starting from the second quarter of 2026. The stock surged nearly 17 percent.

Technology firm Advenica has secured a four-year agreement with a Swedish total defense authority worth SEK 230 million. The contract covers the continued development of an encryption product, with deliveries scheduled through the fourth quarter of 2029. The stock jumped 20 percent.

On the analyst front, Danske Bank upgraded its recommendation on HMS Networks to Buy from Hold, with a target price of SEK 515. The stock increased 2.2 percent.

Private equity firm EQT rose 2.1 percent, despite Citigroup dropping its Buy rating and downgrading the stock to Neutral.
