Matteo Del Fante has been reappointed to lead Poste Italiane for a fourth term.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Treasury.

Del Fante has served as CEO of Poste since 2017, and his third mandate is set to expire in April following the shareholders' meeting for the approval of the annual financial statements.

The Treasury holds a direct 29.3% stake in the postal service, while an additional 35% interest is held through Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

Last year, Del Fante also oversaw the group's entry into the former telephone monopolist Telecom Italia (TIM), becoming its largest shareholder. At the end of March, Poste launched a 10.8 billion euro exchange tender offer (OPAS) for TIM.
