Pacific Resources Limited announced the appointment of highly experienced mining industry professional, Mr. Ian Neilson, to the Company?s board as an Independent Non-executive Director effective on April 1, 2026. Mr. Ian Neilson is an experienced economic structural geologist and geophysicist with over 25 years? experience in global mineral exploration, resource evaluation and mining optimisation.
He has led and advised exploration and development programs across Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas, with expertise spanning structural geology, geophysics, 3D geological modelling and mineral systems analysis. Mr. Neilson has a strong track record in integrating geological and geotechnical data to improve resource estimation and operational outcomes, as well as conducting project evaluations and due diligence across a range of commodities including gold, copper and critical minerals. Mr. Neilson is currently Co-Founder of Model Earth Pty Ltd. and Executive Director of GeoAugment Pty Ltd, where he focuses on advancing geoscience integration and technology-driven solutions for the mining industry.
He previously held senior roles including Chief Geologist at First Au Limited and Principal Structural Geologist roles with major mining companies, including Newmont and Minerals and Metals Group. Mr. Neilson is credited with the following Economic Mineral Discoveries: August 2023: Nothing Left to Lose Lodes, Gold Deposit, Haunted Stream, VIC; June 2022: Dogwood Hilltop Copper Supergene Deposit, VIC; May 2021: Snowstorm Gold Deposit, VIC; July 2019: Mount Gould Hematite Iron Ore Deposit (Start of Mine 2020), WA; February 2011: Hidden Secret Gold Mine (Start of Mine 2015), Kalgoorlie, WA. Mr. Neilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geophysics and a Master of Science in Geology from Monash University, and is a Registered Professional Geoscientist and member of several leading industry bodies.
