(Alliance News) – The Mib opened higher on Tuesday, with the index climbing above the 46,000-point mark. Investors are closely monitoring developments in Venezuela and key economic data releases across Europe.

In France, inflation unexpectedly slowed to 0.8%, while Spain's services PMI indicated a stronger expansion in the sector.

As a result, the Mib is advancing by 0.5% to 46,078.35 points.

The CAC 40 is down 0.2%, the DAX 40 is just below parity, while the FTSE 100 is up 0.5%.

Among the smaller indices, the Mid-Cap is down 0.1% to 59,456.40, the Small-Cap is just above parity at 37,358.39, and Italy Growth is up 0.2% at 8,828.12 points.

On the Mib, STMicroelectronics is showing strength, opening the session up 2.2% at EUR24.27 per share, marking its fifth consecutive bullish session.

UniCredit is also advancing, up 1.9% at EUR72.66, updating its new 52-week high during trading at EUR73.11 per share. After obtaining all necessary legal and regulatory approvals and as previously indicated, UniCredit announced on Monday that it has converted a synthetic position of around 20% in Alpha Bank SA into shares, raising its physical equity stake and effective voting rights to about 29.8%.

BPER Banca is also advancing by 1.6%, marking its fourth consecutive bullish session.

Prysmian, on the other hand, is down 0.8%, reversing course after three sessions closed with bullish candles.

In the mid-cap segment, Technoprobe is up 1.7% at EUR13.07 per share, after a 0.6% decline the previous day.

Avio is also advancing by 1.7% at EUR33.20, marking its fourth consecutive bullish session.

Pirelli is also showing strength, up 1.3%, poised for its fifth consecutive bullish session.

Selling pressure on Juventus FC, which is down 2.1% following a 3.4% loss in the previous session.

On the Small-Cap, Zest is up 7.8% after two sessions in which it lost a combined 7.7%.

Tesmec is also advancing by 2.1%, marking its fourth consecutive bullish session.

Among the many gainers, Centrale del Latte d'Italia is also showing strength, up 2.1% after a 1.6% loss the previous day, which had interrupted a four-session bullish streak.

Softlab is down 4.1% at EUR1.1850 per share, after gaining 0.8% the previous day.

Among SMEs, Farmacosmo is up 10% at EUR0.6160 per share, marking its fifth consecutive bullish session.

Emma Villas is also advancing by 8.2%, marking its third consecutive bullish session.

Edil San Felice is also up 4.9% at EUR5.60 per share, marking its third consecutive bullish session.

At the bottom of the list is Edgelab, down 4.5% at EUR6.00 per share, marking its fifth consecutive bearish session.

In New York during the European evening, the Dow Jones closed up 1.2%, the Nasdaq advanced 0.7%, and the S&P500 gained 0.6%.

Among Asian markets, the Nikkei rose 1.3%, the Shanghai Composite is up 1.5%, and the Hang Seng is also advancing by 1.5%.

On the currency front, the euro is trading at USD1.1727 from USD1.1710 at Monday's close of European equities, while the pound is trading at USD1.3552 from USD1.3511 last night.

Among commodities, Brent is trading at USD61.77 per barrel from USD61.60 per barrel at Monday's European equity close, while gold is worth USD4,467.38 an ounce from USD4,444.67 an ounce last night.

On Tuesday's economic calendar, the Eurozone services composite index is due at 1000 CET, with the U.S. reading scheduled for 1545 CET.

No significant announcements are expected at Piazza Affari.
