(Alliance News) - European markets - with Milan bullish - are starting Tuesday in positive territory, with the market showing signs of caution as it awaits new market catalysts.
A temporary relief in the Japanese bond market also helped ease some of the pressure that had built up the previous day.
The FTSE Mib is thus up 0.6% to 43,512.99 points.
Among the minor indices, the Mid-Cap is up 0.2% to 58,484.91, the Small-Cap is up 0.2% to 35,811.79, and the Italy Growth is up 0.1% to 8,465.09 points.
The CAC 40 in Paris rose 0.1%, the DAX 40 in Frankfurt rose 0.4%, and the FTSE 100 rose 0.1%.
Campari got off to a good start, pushing its price up 2.5% to EUR6.05 per share, its fourth bullish session.
Lottomatica rose 2.3%, recovering after two bearish sessions.
UniCredit, up 0.8%, announced on Tuesday that it had purchased 1.0 million of its own ordinary shares at an average price of EUR63.1065 each, for a total value of EUR65.9 million. The company now holds 38.5 million shares, equal to 2.5% of the share capital.
Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, down 0.4%, announced on Tuesday that it had confirmed its capital strength, having received the ECB's final decision on consolidated capital requirements starting in December, following the SREP review in December 2024. According to the new guidelines, the minimum overall Common Equity Tier 1 requirement stands at 9.01%, which is the sum of Pillar 1 (4.50%), Pillar 2 Requirement - P2R (2.20%) and Combined Buffer Requirement - CBR (3.27%).
Moncler, on the other hand, fell 0.3% to EUR57.96 per share. It should be noted that RBC raised its target price to EUR56.00 from EUR53.00.
In the Mid-Cap segment, Ariston Holding is performing well, up 2.6% after a 0.3% decline in the previous session.
NewPrinces is up 2.4%, marking its fifth bullish session.
Banca Generali is up 1.4% to EUR55.15 per share. Deutsche Bank has raised its target price to EUR66.00 from EUR61.00.
Technoprobe, up 1.2%, announced on Monday that it had purchased 125,000 of its own ordinary shares between November 25 and 28. The shares were purchased at an average price of approximately EUR11.99 per share, for a total value of EUR1.5 million.
In the small-cap sector, CY4Gate rose 4.4% to EUR 8.15 after falling 0.5% in the previous session.
Tesmec advanced 3.8% to EUR0.1426. During trading, the stock updated its 52-week high to EUR0.1416 per share.
Dexelance's buyback program continues. The company, still flat at EUR 5.54, announced on Monday that it had purchased 15,858 of its own ordinary shares between November 24 and 28, for a total value of approximately EUR 89,000.
Brioschi Sviluppo Immobiliare, down 1.5%, following on from last week's announcement, announced on Monday that its subsidiary Milanofiori Sviluppo had sold all 73,769 units still held in the Fleurs Fund to a number of professional institutional investors. The latter is a closed-end Italian real estate investment fund that purchased buildings U1 and U3 from Milanofiori Sviluppo in August 2022.
Among SMEs, Growens rose 3.2% to EUR2.89 per share, taking the lead on the index.
Circle, up 1.0%, announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary eXyond had been awarded the contract put out to tender by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport - Directorate-General for Road Safety and Road Transport for the provision of support services for the functional management of the CCISS - Viaggiare Informati. The final award decree was formalized by the MIT for a total amount of over EUR 10 million, for a duration of three years starting from January 1, 2026.
FAE Technology - down 0.1% - continues with its buyback program. The company announced on Monday that it had purchased 27,300 of its own ordinary shares between November 24 and 28. The shares were purchased at an average price of approximately EUR 2.45 per share, for a total value of EUR 66,877.35.
Kruso Kapital, on the other hand, fell 4.9% to EUR1.57 per share, after two bullish sessions.
In New York last night, the Dow Jones fell 0.9%, the Nasdaq fell 0.4%, and the S&P 500 closed down 0.5%.
In Asia, the Nikkei closed flat, the Hang Seng advanced 0.2%, while the Shanghai Composite fell 0.4%.
On the currency front, the euro is trading at USD 1.1615 from USD 1.1625 at Monday's stock market close, while the pound is trading at USD 1.3217 from USD 1.328 last night.
Among commodities, Brent crude traded at USD63.21 per barrel from USD63.20 per barrel at yesterday evening's close, while gold was worth USD4,213.84 per ounce from USD4,252.58 per ounce on Monday evening.
On Tuesday's economic calendar, Italy's monthly unemployment rate is due at 1000 CET.
Attention shifts to the Eurozone at 1100 CET, when the consumer price index and unemployment rate will be analyzed, while at 1200 CET, Italy will release its producer price index data.
At 6:00 p.m. CET, Italian car registration data will be released.
On the Italian stock exchange, Emma Villas' results are expected.
