Marks and Spencer Group plc (LSE:MKS) agreed to acquire 437,000 square foot fully automated fashion distribution centre in Lichfield from ASOS Plc (LSE:ASC) for £67.5 million on May 11, 2026. A cash consideration of £67.5 million will be paid by Marks and Spencer Group plc. As part of consideration, £67.5 million is paid towards assets of 437,000 square foot fully automated fashion distribution centre in Lichfield. The new logistics hub will add capacity and process orders quickly, helping to realise M&S? long-term ambition to double the size of its online fashion business.
The former ASOS site will become operational as part of the M&S network in 2027. It will employ 600 people.
The transaction is expected to be completed during second half of 2026.
