Danish pharmaceutical company Lundbeck has completed the recruitment of the final patient in its global Phase 3 Mascot study, evaluating the drug candidate amlenetug (a monoclonal antibody) for the treatment of multiple system atrophy (MSA), according to a press release.

The study involves patients with the rapidly progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease, for which there are currently no approved treatments. Recruitment was completed ahead of schedule, the company stated.

Headline results are expected in the third quarter of 2027, with a projected launch in the first quarter of 2029.
