Legrand acquires Girtz Industries in the United States
Legrand has announced the acquisition of Girtz Industries, a US specialist in the design of highly specialized modular power integration solutions, as well as testing and technical services. Based in Monticello, Indiana, the company employs approximately 300 people and generates annual revenue of nearly 80 million USD.
According to the French group, Girtz's solutions are essential for customers requiring backup power or behind-the-meter primary power solutions, primarily in data centers, but also in industrial, infrastructure, and commercial applications.
Legrand added that this transaction strengthens its position in the United States at the intersection of two key trends: the unprecedented growth in electricity demand and the emergence of new data center architectures requiring high-density, energy-efficient, and increasingly decentralized power solutions.
'This acquisition is the 6th made by Legrand since the beginning of the year, all within the energy transition and data center sectors, together representing nearly 440 million EUR in additional annual revenue', highlighted CEO Benoît Coquart.

Its comprehensive range, suitable for the commercial, industrial, and residential segments of the low voltage market, makes Legrand a benchmark for customers worldwide. Geographically, 40.4% of net sales are generated Europe region, 42.3% in North and Central America and 17.3% in the rest of the world.
In terms of product offering, 53% of its sales come from products with enhanced value in use (data centres, energy transition and digital lifestyles), and 47% from essential infrastructures products.
