Finnish retail and wholesale group Kesko reported a 7.7 percent increase in sales to 1.15 billion euros in April, according to a press release. In comparable terms, sales grew by 4.8 percent.

Building and technical trade rose 20.1 percent to 479 million euros, with strong growth recorded across all operating countries.

Grocery trade sales decreased by 1.5 percent to 546 million euros, primarily due to the timing of Easter.

Car trade increased by 8.9 percent to 130 million euros, driven by used car sales. Sports trade rose by 9.3 percent.
