The Finnish retail group Kesko increased its sales by 3.9 percent to €1,051.5 million in November, corresponding to 0.8 percent in comparable terms. This is according to a press release.

Sales were positive in all three business areas. Grocery trade increased by 2.2 percent to €538.5 million, while building and technical trade rose by 7.4 percent to €405.0 million. In comparable terms, however, sales in the latter category decreased by 0.8 percent.

Car sales increased by a modest 0.1 percent to EUR 109.9 million.

There were one fewer delivery day in November compared to the previous year.

"Depending on the division, one delivery day has an impact of approximately 2–4 percentage points on monthly sales," says Kesko's CEO Jorma Rauhala.
