Japan Government Approaches Japan Display About Running U.S. Plant, Nikkei Reports

--The Japanese government has approached Japan Display about operating a plant to be built as part of Japan's pledged $550 billion investment in the U.S., Japanese business daily Nikkei reported Sunday, without citing sources.

--For the project to be realized, profitability issues need to be addressed, the Nikkei report said.
