Intact Insurance has announced three strategic appointments in France and Europe, all effective as of April 1st. Lucile Rouché has been named Director of Liability Lines for Europe. Based in Paris, she will oversee the general liability, professional indemnity, and technology portfolios across the region, with the objective of accelerating the development of these key lines and enhancing European strategic consistency.
With nearly 20 years of underwriting experience in professional indemnity, life sciences, and casualty, Lucile has held senior positions at AIG, AXA, QBE Insurance, and Zurich Insurance plc. Prior to joining Intact Insurance, she served as Head of Casualty, Life Science and Medmal France at Everest Insurance France.
Jean-Baptiste de Malartic has been appointed Head of Marine Underwriting for France, bolstering a priority segment for the French market. With over 16 years of industry experience, he has built a solid track record including roles at Gan Patrimoines, Crédit Agricole Creditor Insurance, and AXA XL France, where he successively served as Marine Cargo Underwriter, Marine Cargo Underwriting Manager, and Head of Cargo. Most recently, he was Head of Marine and Transport at Howden France.
In his new role, he will lead the French marine team and guide underwriting decisions to support sustainable and disciplined growth.
Intact Insurance also announced the appointment of Antoine de Seauve as Head of Financial Lines Underwriting for France, a key role intended to support growth in a rapidly evolving market.
With over 25 years of experience at major insurers such as Ace (now Chubb), Hiscox, and Liberty Specialty Markets, Antoine has developed specialized expertise in Financial Lines, Cyber, and Professional Indemnity. Most recently, he held the same remit at Everest.
In this capacity, Antoine will lead French financial lines activities, with a particular focus on large accounts and complex risks. His mission will be to promote underwriting excellence, structure portfolio development, and strengthen commercial proximity with brokers and clients.
AXA is the European leading insurance group. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- damage insurance (62.1%): mainly car insurance, home insurance, property damage, civil liability, and major risk insurance. The group also offers assistance services (medical assistance for travelers, breakdown service for vehicles, etc.);
- life insurance (36.6%): sale of savings policies, retirement accounts, estate planning services, and health insurance to individuals and companies;
- other (1.3%): mainly banking activities in France, Belgium and Germany.
