Snus retailer Haypp Group's American subsidiary, Northerner Scandinavia, will pay $2.5 million--equivalent to 23.6 million Swedish kronor--to the city of San Francisco. This is the result of a settlement reached with the San Francisco City Attorney, according to a press release.

Of the total amount, $1 million has already been reserved. The remaining sum will be reported as non-recurring items in the third quarter of 2025.

A lawsuit against the subsidiary and two other affiliated companies was filed in September last year, relating to the online sale of flavored nicotine products to residents of San Francisco.

Under the terms of the settlement, Northerner Scandinavia has agreed to make a one-time payment and cease all sales of nicotine products to residents of San Francisco.
