MARBELLA (dpa-AFX) - Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has left Borussia Dortmund's training camp a day earlier than his teammates due to illness. However, BVB remains hopeful that the Swiss national keeper will be available for the Bundesliga restart against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday (8:30 p.m./Sat.1 and Sky). The news was initially reported by "Bild" newspaper, as well as Sky and "Kicker".

Dortmund are preparing for the second half of the season in Marbella, Spain. On Thursday, the team will travel directly from their training camp to Frankfurt. There, the league's second-placed side will face seventh-placed Eintracht on Friday.

Kobel had been training individually at times during his stay in Marbella. The 28-year-old is BVB's undisputed number one. If he is unable to play against Eintracht, his deputy Alexander Meyer is expected to step in./lot/DP/men
