FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - After a two-week recovery on the German stock market, investors were initially cautious on Monday. They are waiting for the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on Wednesday.
The German benchmark index DAX was down slightly at 24,015 points in the first minutes of trading. Since its low in November of below 23,000 points, the stock market barometer had climbed four and a half percent and recently surpassed the 24,000-point mark again.
The MDax, which tracks medium-sized German stocks, was up 0.6 percent at 29,859 points in the morning. The Eurozone index EuroStoxx 50 fell slightly.
