FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Buoyed by continued strength in overseas markets, the Dax is once again testing the 25,000-point psychological barrier this Thursday. Within minutes of the Xetra opening, the German benchmark index gained 0.27 percent to reach 24,986 points.
The MDax, which tracks mid-cap stocks, climbed 0.67 percent to 31,994 points, while the Eurozone's blue-chip EuroStoxx 50 index posted a 0.3 percent gain. Market attention remains focused on the ongoing quarterly earnings season, crude oil prices, and the geopolitical situation in Iran./ajx/stk
