The announcement was made by the Italian brand, a subsidiary of the Stellantis group.
o Under the new 2030 strategic plan presented on May 21, Stellantis anticipates the launch of over 60 new models and 50 major updates across all brands to recover market share lost in several regions, including its core North American and European markets.
o Measuring less than 4.5 meters in length, both models are built on the 'Smart Car' platform, which underpins Stellantis's budget-friendly models, including the Fiat Grande Panda and the Citroën C3.
o They will be available in gasoline, hybrid, and fully electric versions.
o Fiat plans to extend distribution to Latin America.
o According to a source, the two models will be manufactured in Morocco.
o The automaker has not disclosed details regarding retail pricing.
o Stellantis has identified Fiat as one of its four core brands, on which it intends to concentrate approximately 70% of its brand and product investment.
