On March 25, 2026, Jeremy Varner and Maxwell Fowler inspected the Oxford Development of the Catawba-Wateree Project No. 2232. The Oxford Development is under remediation to repair and upgrade the gated spillway.
The inspectors found no problem that would present an immediate concern for dam safety or continued operation. Based on inspection observations, document review, and discussion with staff, the observed construction followed the approved plans and specifications. If any additional items requiring follow-up action are identified during preparation of the Dam Safety Inspection Report, Duke Energy Corp.
will be contacted by phone and/or email and subsequently issued another letter. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission appreciates continued cooperation in ensuring the safety of the project.
