(Alliance News) - On Friday, ERG Spa announced that non-executive director Luca Bettonte has submitted his irrevocable resignation from the position of board member at ERG, as well as from his role on the Strategic Committee, citing personal reasons. The resignation will take effect as of November 17.

The board, during its session, acknowledged Bettonte's resignation and will, at its next meeting, with the support of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, deliberate on the appointment of his replacement.

On Friday, ERG shares closed down 3.5% at EUR21.42 per share.

Luca Bettonte

Luca Bettonte is currently the Chief Executive Officer at San Quirico SpA since 2021.
He is also serving as the Vice Chairman & Council Member at Elettricità Futura - Unione delle Imprese Elettriche Italiane since 2020.
Additionally, he holds director positions at ERG SpA, ERG Petroli SpA, ERG Raffinerie Mediterranee SpA, ERG Power & Gas SpA, and Ionio Gas SRL.
In his former roles, Mr. Bettonte served as the Chief Executive Officer at ERG Renew SpA from 2012 to 2016.
He was also the Chairman at Autostrade International US Holdings, Inc. and a Director at Impregilo SpA, Autostrade per l'Italia SpA, Emittenti Titoli SpA, and Autostrade Sud America SRL.
Furthermore, he held director positions at TotalErg SpA from 2012 to 2018.
Prior to that, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Mundys SpA from 2007 to 2008 and Whirlpool EMEA Srl from 2003 to 2003.
