(Alliance News) - Enel Spa announced on Tuesday that it had purchased 1.3 million of its own shares at a weighted average price of EUR8.9892 each, for a total value of EUR11.5 million.

Following these transactions, which took place between January 19 and 23, the company now holds 134.9 million treasury shares, representing 1.3% of its share capital.

On Tuesday, Enel shares closed up 1.5% at EUR9.252 per share.
