Debenhams Group announced that Tom Handley, will be appointed to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.
Tom is currently a director at Provenio Law. He previously served as Chief Executive of Exchange Chambers for 28 years, having joined the chambers in 1992. Tom will sit on the Audit and Risk, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. The Company also announced that Alistair McGeorge has informed the Board of his intention to step down as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from September 19, 2025. Alistair was appointed to the Board in March 2023 and currently serves as the Company's Senior Independent Director and Independent Non-Executive Director. He also held the position of Deputy Chairman until November 2024. Following his departure, John Goold, Non-Executive Director, will assume the role of Senior Independent Director.
