Europe's largest copper recycler, Aurubis, has upgraded its earnings outlook for the current 2025/26 fiscal year for the second time in just over three months. Operating earnings before taxes (EBT) are now projected to fall between 425 million and 525 million euros (2024/25: 355 million), Aurubis announced on Friday. This range sits 50 million euros above the previous target. 'The upward revision is driven by sustained high metal prices, improved revenue expectations from the processing of recycling materials, and higher anticipated sulfuric acid revenues in the second half of the fiscal year,' the company explained.

In the first half of the year, operating EBT stood at 226 million euros, compared to 229 million euros in the prior-year period. Aurubis stated that this performance was in line with analyst expectations. Following the announcement, the stock pared its earlier losses.
