E-commerce company Boozt reports sales in line with expectations for the third quarter. Adjusted operating profit was better than expected.

Sales rose 1.3 percent to SEK 1,673 million (1,651). The outcome can be compared with Modular Finance's analyst consensus of 1,685.

"Growth was primarily driven by the Nordic markets, where Sweden continued to grow (+4 percent) and Denmark returned to growth (2 percent increase in local currency). The improvement was delivered despite the initial sales of the Autumn/Winter collection being affected by unfavorable weather conditions in September," the company writes.

CEO Hermann Haraldsson states that the company is not satisfied with the growth trend.

"But it is encouraging that we are seeing a gradual improvement as we enter the most important trading period of the year," he adds.

Gross profit was SEK 627 million (638), with a gross margin of 37.5 percent (38.6).

Operating profit was SEK 41 million (28), compared with an expected SEK 43.4 million. The operating margin was 2.5 percent (1.7).

Adjusted operating profit amounted to SEK 67 million (54), compared with an expected SEK 57.7 million, with an adjusted operating margin of 4.0 percent (3.3).

Profit after tax was SEK 26 million (15), and per share SEK 0.39 (0.21).

Cash flow from operating activities amounted to SEK 318 million (24).

The current share buyback program is being expanded from SEK 300 million to SEK 415 million. This means that Boozt will achieve its target from Capital Markets Day 2023 of repurchasing shares for SEK 800 million within three years.

The company is raising its full-year forecast for the adjusted operating margin to 5-6 percent from the previous 4.5-5.5 percent. At the same time, the forecast for sales growth is being narrowed to 0-3 percent, from the previous 0-6 percent, which corresponds to growth of 2-5 percent in local currency.
