Boeing Delivered 60 Jets in May, Booked 22 Net Orders

Boeing said it delivered 60 planes and reserved 22 net orders in May.

The aerospace manufacturer said Tuesday that the deliveries included 51 737 Max jets and six 787 Dreamliners last month. The company booked 17 new orders for the Max planes and 10 new orders for Dreamliners.

The airlines taking deliveries last month included Southwest Airlines, SMBC Leasing and Virgin Australia, Boeing said. The company has delivered 250 planes so far this year, including nearly 200 737 Max jets, its widely used narrow-body, single-aisle aircraft.

Boeing has booked 295 orders, after cancellations, through May. That's the second highest order count for the first five months of the year, with the highest being 512 orders in that span last year.
