BAE Systems has announced that it has destroyed air and ground targets for the first time using an armed multi-rotor drone during trials in the United States.
The TRV-150, a modified version of the Malloy T-150 drone, successfully launched an APKWS laser-guided munition, marking a first for an unmanned system.
The operation demonstrates a low-cost, multi-role capability to support ground troops. The tests, conducted in partnership with SURVICE Engineering, exceeded expectations, with no missed shots. This development paves the way for wider tactical deployment of armed drones, combining efficiency and flexibility on the battlefield.
