Julien Parot, previously Chief of Staff to Axa Group CEO Thomas Buberl, has been appointed Group Head of Public Affairs. He will report to Gilles Moëc, Axa Group Chief Economist and Head of Public Affairs. Julien Parot succeeds Patricia Plas, who has decided to retire this year. Bertrand Noize, formerly Axa Group Head of Corporate Finance, succeeds Julien Parot as Chief of Staff to CEO Thomas Buberl. These changes will take effect on May 4, 2026.
Julien Parot holds a Master's degree in General Private Law from Paris II - Panthéon-Assas University and a DESS in Business Law from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
He began his career as a freelance journalist in 2003. In 2006, he joined La Correspondance économique, the business journal of Société Générale de Presse. Appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief in 2013, he became Editor-in-Chief in 2015.
In July 2016, he joined Axa as Group Head of Media Relations and Reputation, before serving from 2021 to 2023 as Group Head of Media Relations, Reputation, and Communication with individual and employee shareholders. Since April 2023, Julien Parot has served as Chief of Staff to Axa Group CEO Thomas Buberl.
Bertrand Noize is a graduate of Audencia Nantes School of Management. He began his career at HSBC, where he spent five years in the M&A department, advising financial institutions on merger and acquisition transactions.
In 2016, he joined the Axa Group and held various positions within the Corporate Finance, Capital Management, and Treasury department. Since 2023, Bertrand Noize has served as Axa Group Head of Corporate Finance.
Thomas Buberl is a German businessperson who has been at the head of 16 different companies. Dr. Buberl is Chief Executive Officer & Director at AXA SA and Member-Climate Finance Leadership Initiative at Bloomberg LP and on the board of 5 other companies.
He previously occupied the position of Chairman at The Pan European Insurance Forum (PEIF), Director at Equitable Holdings, Inc. and Director at AXA Financial, Inc. Thomas Buberl received an undergraduate degree from WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management, an MBA from the University of Lancaster and a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen.
