Investment firm Industrivärden, the principal shareholder in Essity, acquired 900,000 Class B shares in the hygiene and health products group on May 12. The shares were purchased at an average price of SEK 247.42 per share, representing a total transaction value of SEK 222.7 million. The trades were executed across multiple exchanges, according to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority's insider register.

As of March 27, Industrivärden held 80.7 million shares, corresponding to 11.83 percent of the capital and 29.45 percent of the voting rights in Essity, according to ownership data provider Holdings.
