MARBELLA (dpa-AFX) - Germany international footballer Karim Adeyemi has accepted a financial penalty from his club, Borussia Dortmund, following his outburst during the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. According to dpa sources, the club's sporting management imposed a fine in the high five-figure range during their training camp in Marbella. The news was first reported by "Bild".
On Friday, coach Niko Kovac said upon arrival in Andalusia that there had not yet been a conversation with Adeyemi. The 23-year-old had reacted angrily to being substituted early during the 2-0 win over Gladbach just a few days before Christmas.
