Accor recognized as 'Leader' for sustainable procurement
The hotel group has achieved the highest maturity level for integrating sustainability issues into its procurement processes and supplier management, according to the ISO 20400 standard.
Accor has announced that it has achieved 'Leader' status, the highest maturity level, following an independent assessment of its sustainable procurement practices based on the international ISO 20400 standard.
This recognition highlights the integration of sustainability criteria into procurement decisions, supplier relations, and group governance. The assessment particularly emphasizes the robustness of the Supplier Control Plan, deployed from the bidding stage and throughout the duration of contracts to ensure compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
The audit also praised the 2026 Sustainable Procurement roadmap, which was deemed clear in its priorities, objectives, and mobilized resources, as well as the distribution of responsibilities between management, sustainable procurement teams, and local teams.
According to the group, this recognition reinforces its positioning in the development of sustainable and low-carbon supply chains within the hospitality sector.
Accor shares rose 0.4% in Paris but remain down by more than 5% since the start of the year.
Accor is the No. 1 European hotel group. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- operating hotels under management contract (70.9%; HotelServices);
- owned and leased hotel management (29.1%). In addition, the group offers a business of renting luxury private residences, as well as providing digital services to independent hoteliers, concierge services, etc.
At the end of 2025, the group operates a network of more than 5,600 hotels distributed between luxury and top-range hotels (Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Swissotel, Grand Mercure, Mövenpick, The Sebel and Rixos names), mid-range hotels (Novotel, Novotel Suites, Mercure, adagio, Mama Shlter and Tribe), and economy hotels (ibis, ibis Styles, ibis budget, adagio access, hotelF1, Formule 1, Jo&Joe, Breakfree and Greet).
