This list is designed to capture the excess returns of so-called "momentum" stocks. Companies of sufficient size and liquidity that meet criteria related to the stock's upward trend, positive stock movements over the past few months and bullish analysts' earnings revisions are selected. We look at stocks that have outperformed the market over the past 6 and 12 months and have bullish earnings and revenue revision patterns, assuming that analysts are fairly conservative in their revisions. Momentum stocks usually perform better during economic expansions. Several geographical areas are proposed. The global list includes companies listed in the world's major financial centers. The other lists are regional: North America, Europe, Asia (Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong), Emerging Markets, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
