Born in Lyon in 1954, Jacques Aschenbroich is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orange. He was Chief Executive Officer of the Valeo Group from March 2009 to February 2016, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until January 2022, then Chairman of Valeo's Board of Directors until December 31, 2022. He has a wide range of experience, acquired in management positions in major industrial groups, in France and abroad, and in senior civil service. Prior to joining Valeo, he was a graduate of the Corps des Mines and held a number of government posts, including a position in the Prime Minister's office in 1987 and 1988. He then pursued an industrial career with the Saint-Gobain group from 1988 to 2008. After managing subsidiaries in Brazil and Germany, he became head of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain's Flat Glass Division and Chairman of Saint-Gobain Vitrage in 1996. Then, as Executive Vice-President of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain from October 2001 to December 2008, he headed the Flat Glass and High-Performance Materials Sectors from January 2007, and managed the Group's operations in the United States as Director of Saint-Gobain Corporation and General Delegate for the United States and Canada from September 1, 2007.
