CGG announces that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Baker Hughes, at the OTC 2024 conference in Houston, to enable the parties to explore the joint offering of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCUS) solutions.

The proposed collaboration is intended to support the rapid growth of CCUS projects by providing fully integrated solutions to evaluate, select, characterize and monitor potential CO2 storage sites around the world.

'By combining the two companies' considerable expertise and complementary technologies in CCUS, operators will benefit from more efficient and cost-effective solutions', comments Peter Whiting, EVP Geoscience at CGG.
